Popular Fertile Minds Ad Program to Go Global.
Fertilizer information campaign translated for international use and available free online.
Washington, D.C. — The Nutrients for Life Foundation announced today that it has taken its long-running informational campaign about fertilizer and has converted it for international use in Spanish and Chinese in addition to English. Created to dispel myths and misperceptions about fertilizers, the popular Fertile Minds campaign was originally developed for North American use beginning in 1999.
In its new global format, farmers, retailers and other agricultural professionals will be able to download, for free, a wide variety of educational and advertising tools to enlighten people in their communities and nations about the important role fertilizer plays in sustaining a growing world's need for more food.
Free materials available at www.nutrientsforlife.org include several videos featuring prominent names in agriculture, such as Nobel Prize winner Dr. Norman Borlaug; a series of brochures that can be used as leave-behinds or direct mail pieces; and a print advertising campaign.
The message throughout is clear: Fertilizer is not harmful to the environment, on the contrary, fertilizer prevents forests and recreational land from being turned into farmland by giving farmers the high-yield means to feed our growing world.
Nutrients for Life Foundation is a tax-exempt organization as described in Section 501( c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Code and is incorporated in the State of Delaware. The Foundation was formed to disseminate educational information to the general public, including policy makers, about fertilizers, modern agriculture and the role plant nutrients serve in improving people's lives.
